Sydney Pepper, Head Coach
Hello! My name is Coach Sydney and I am so excited to be apart of the Barracudas Family! I currently run and coach at Dynamo-Oakhurst and have been there since 2019. I have been coaching since I was 16, way back when I coached for Gwinnett County Summer League. I am very involved in Georgia Swimming serving on the board of directors and am pretty active in the governance for the entire state. One of my most favorite things about summer league are the meets! They are so much fun to come together and compete! I am married to my best friend, John and we have a five year old named Anderson.
Thomas Benefield, Co-Coach
Thomas began swimming at Pangborn Pool and Lakeside High School. Thomas has led the Barracudas the last few summers and loves cheering poolside. Thomas has been a 5th grade teacher at Trinity School for the past 8 years. Before that he was a teacher in DeKalb Schools for 18 years. is looking forward to bringing back his swim experiences and enthusiasm to the Barracudas as often as he can this summer! Thomas grew up s

Natalie has been a part of the Barracuda Nation since she was 6 years old. While she won't be able to spend the entire season with the Barracudas, she is going to assist as much as she can poolside with the swimmers. She graduated from Lakeside High School and now attends The University of Georgia.

Olivia has been a Barracuda since she was 4 and has been a year round swimmer at Dynamo since she was 6. She is thrilled to return to the coaching staff for the Barracudas. Olivia is finishing her senior year at Lakeside High School and heading to the University of Georgia in the fall. Josh has swam for the Barracudas since he was 5 years old. Josh is finishing his senior year at Woodward Academy, where he has been a member of the swim team and is captain of the Varsity Swim and Dive team. He is excited to be coaching the Barracudas again this summer.

Caroline has been a Barracuda since she was 6 years old and has been swimming year round for Dynamo since she was 8. She also teaches swim lessons at Dynamo Swim Club. She will be a rising Senior at Lakeside High School next school year, where she has competed on the Varsity swim team for the past 3 years. Caroline is delighted to return to the coaching staff this summer.

Corinne started swimming competitively at age four and joined the Barracudas in middle school. She has been a lifeguard for three years and a swim instructor at Dynamo Swim School. Corinne is a varsity swimmer, a member of the Viking Water Polo team, and is a rising senior at Druid Hills High School. After have being a junior coach last year, she’s excited to join the coaching staff this year.
Private Swim Lessons
Please contact the coaches directly to arrange for private lessons. Their schedules are based on their availability. The lap lane is first come, first serve to equally serve for our member lap swimmers and private lessons.
Reservations:
· Similar to pool time slot reservations, courtreserve will be used to schedule lessons with each coach
· Lessons will be listed as a separate event from member swim
· Lessons will be offered at fixed times throughout the week. Reach out to a coach individually for questions or if times offered do not fit your schedule
Rates: $30 per half-hour session
We are all set for the 2022 season. Keep it in mind next year if you are interested. Are you a high school upperclass or college student interested in being a Junior/Support Coach? "Little Cudas" WILL return this summer!
We'll be looking to secure about 6 Current Barracuda swimmers that will be instrumental in supporting the "Little 'Cudas" program, assisting with 6 & under practices and on-going coach support during the meets. These Barracudas will continue to swim competitively for the team but take on new responsibilities alongside the coaches particularly with the younger swimmers.
This is an unpaid position but provides great experience.
